Facials, in a room of their own

A facial booked here is a full appointment in the treatment room with Snejana, not something squeezed between two haircuts. Clients who come for skin come back for skin — it is the service people mention having had more than once.

Which one is for which problem

Hydrafacial is the general-purpose one: cleanse, gentle exfoliation, extraction by suction rather than by fingers, then serum. No downtime, skin looks better the same afternoon, and it is the right first booking if you are not sure what you need. From $180.

Microdermabrasion sands off the dull surface layer — good for texture and for makeup sitting badly. From $170. Chemical peels work deeper on pigmentation, sun damage and acne marks, and they do come with a few days of flaking; from $170.

Microneedling is the one for scarring, large pores and fine lines: controlled micro-injury that makes the skin build collagen as it repairs. It works over a course, not in one visit. From $180. LED light therapy is the gentlest of the lot and is often added after something else. From $180.

Booked as a course, not a one-off

A single facial is a good afternoon. Actual change in pigmentation, scarring or texture comes from a series — usually three to six sessions spaced a few weeks apart, with something maintained in between. Anyone who tells you one microneedling appointment will clear old acne scarring is not being straight with you.

So the first appointment is as much consultation as treatment: Snejana looks at what your skin is doing, what you already use on it, what you actually want changed, and what that realistically takes. We would rather book you a peel every six weeks that works than a Hydrafacial every week that does not.

Before you come in

Stop retinol and strong acids for about five days beforehand, and tell us about any prescription skin medication, recent sun or recent injectables — all of them change what we can safely do. If you have an event, book the facial at least a week ahead rather than the day before; even the gentle treatments can leave skin pink for a few hours, and peels leave it flaking for days.

Facials for men are on the menu at the same price, and the back facial is there for the area nobody can reach themselves.

Snejana

Snejana runs the treatment room: Hydrafacial, microneedling, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, back facials and facials for men. Skin is the only thing she does here, and every facial is booked as a full appointment rather than squeezed between two haircuts.

Where a price says “and up”, that is the starting figure for the service as listed — very long or very thick hair needs more product and more time. You are told the number at the chair, before anything is mixed or applied, not afterwards.

In their words

Great experience at Young Style Beauty Salon! I’ve done facial treatments here more than once, and every time has been perfect. The specialist was very kind and professional, the salon is very clean, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Questions we get asked

Anything not answered here — call the salon and ask. Someone who does this every day will pick up.

How much is a facial?
Microdermabrasion and chemical peels start at $170. Hydrafacial, microneedling, LED light therapy, the back facial and the facial for men start at $180. The chair is held for the full appointment — an hour for a peel, ninety minutes for most of the rest.
Which facial should I book first?
If you are not sure, book the Hydrafacial. It suits nearly every skin, there is no downtime, and it doubles as the consultation where Snejana tells you what to do next.
How many sessions will I need?
One is enough if you want your skin to look good for an event. For pigmentation, scarring or texture, expect a course of three to six spaced a few weeks apart. We will give you the honest number at the first appointment.
Is there any downtime?
Hydrafacial and LED, none — you can go straight out afterwards. Microdermabrasion may leave you slightly pink for a few hours. Chemical peels flake for several days, and microneedling leaves the skin red for a day or so. Plan around it.
Do you do facials for men?
Yes, it is a listed service at $180 and up, and the back facial is on the menu too.
What should I avoid before my appointment?
Retinol and strong exfoliating acids for about five days, and sunburn at any point. Tell us about prescription skin medication and any recent injectables when you book, not when you arrive.
